An Eclipse Sabbatical
Creating space for the unfolding of fate.
Over the next month, we will experience two back to back eclipses: a Lunar eclipse in Pisces on Sunday, September 7 and a solar eclipse in Virgo on Sunday September 21.
Eclipses are a good time to rest, reflect, and to pause our magical practice. During an eclipse, the sun, moon, and lunar nodes are in alignment. In astrology, the lunar notes (or boundaries of the moon’s orbit) are also known as the “nodes of fate” or “nodes of destiny” and they represent our soul’s journey in this lifetime. If we slow down and reflect, eclipse season gives us the opportunity to observe a realignment in our life path. Events occur that move us, gently or not, toward our highest good.
I’m taking a break from New Moon Missive for this eclipse season to give myself a time to rest and recharge in my mystical practice.
I’ll return with a new post on September 28. Over the next month, consider how the nodes of this eclipse, in Pisces and Virgo, express themselves in your life. There are likely to be themes that connect the physical, ordered world (Virgo) to the fluid, unbounded spiritual plane (Pisces). Enjoy this time of rest and reflection and I’ll see you at the end of the month!
